Tim has been involved in the health and fitness industry, in one form or another, for more than 16 yrs. In that time he has worked as a personal trainer, nutritional consultant, and in nutritional supplement sales (he is a junior partner in a GNC franchise). His knowledge and passion for all things fitness has led to speaking invitations by a number of groups including the Nurses Continuing Education program at Davenport College, and the MSCA (Michigan Strength and Conditioning Association) meeting at Saginaw Valley State University. Tim’s greatest asset is his ability to take an objective look at new theories and concepts, analyze their value, and understand real world applications. Tim has a Master of Fitness Certification from the US Army and has specialized in functional fitness training for 7 yrs.
Cherie Whalen
Cherie’s lack of formal training in the health field is overshadowed by her enthusiasm. She has over 8 years experience working in health and nutrition, and is an avid runner, having run everything from 5 and 10k races, to marathons and the 200 mile American Odyssey Relay Adventure Race. She has also served as a trainer for the Bay City pilot program for the Crim festival of races. Perhaps Cherie’s greatest attribute is her desire to see others succeed. She has been known to sacrifice her own placement in a race to motivate others to finish.
